Supreme Court upholds sentence Robert M. – Focus on News

Amsterdam

The Supreme Court ruled today that the conviction of Robert M. maintained. The Amsterdam court convicted Robert M. to 19 years in prison and TBS for committing 80 sexual offenses with very young children and possession, distribution and making child pornography.

Robert M. had appealed in cassation held against his conviction. Also on behalf of the victims and their parents (the injured party) has challenged the decision of the court.
M. complained to the Supreme Court included the judicial finding, and damages awarded to injured parties. The complaints of the accused, the Supreme Court sees no grounds for appeal.
The court has granted non-material damages to the injured parties. The material damage claim of the children, the court declared inadmissible.
Aggrieved parties complain among others about it.


The Supreme Court let the decision of the court in position. It would be too great a burden on the criminal mean if should be treated. These claims in this case The other complaints of the victims can not lead to cassation.
The conviction is final. For exceeding the reasonable term of imprisonment reduced to 18 years and eleven months. TBS imposed remains unchanged in position.
