President Arriën Kruyt Traveler association Rover, Monday is the first witness to appear before the parliamentary committee of inquiry Fyra. On this first day of public hearings into the debacle with the high speed line will be heard three witnesses.

This week the commission focuses on the procurement of the transport concession for the HSL. It also looks at the role of parliament in the event and the procurement of Fyra.

On the first day, further Ralph Pans (Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport 1998 2002) and Maarten Spaargaren (Director Corporate and product NS 2001 to 2008) was heard under oath. In total, up to and including June 12, about forty people heard in public.

The committee chaired by Madeleine Toorenburg (CDA) has already spoken with about eighty people from home and abroad behind closed doors. The report of the commission of inquiry should be ready in the fall.

The parliamentary inquiry is the toughest examination instrument of parliament to get the truth about an issue on the table. The survey Fyra will be the 20th since the parliament the right to do so was given by the 1848 Constitution.
