Pop-up Museum DWDD will open again in 2016 – nrc.nl

Pop-up Museum of The World Keeps Turning opens in 2016 due to great success its doors in the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam. That made known broadcaster VARA tonight. NRC Handelsblad shows like the first edition, a special pop-upkrant out.

At the archaeological museum of the University of Amsterdam DWDD organized since early this year for the first several exhibitions. For the next edition go nine regular table each guest decorate a room of the museum with works from the depots of eleven Dutch museums. As this year’s theme in 2016 ‘Hidden Art’.

The nine guest curators are each coupled to a museum to look into the cellars for hidden artwork. Each guest curator gets together with a museum one room in the Allard Pierson Museum, a room entirely to the idea and tastes of the guest curator will be appointed

  • Sywert Van Lienden – Bonnefantenmuseum
  • Carice van Houten – Kröller-Müller Museum

The first edition of the DWDD Pop-Up museum is on display until next Friday in the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam
