banned hazardous USB chargers – Dagblad van het Noorden

Many chargers with USB connection no good. That concludes the Dutch Food Safety Authority (NVWA) on Tuesday banned the sale of 24 different chargers.

The NVWA investigated this spring 41 USB chargers, of which more than half was found not to meet the requirements. Twelve were defective, ten so severe ,, that use is even a risk of electric shock or fire, ” said the NVWA. Another twelve chargers did meet the technical requirements, but it lacked technical documentation.
