A small but rapidly growing number of people applying for asylum in the Netherlands. There are currently a relatively large number of asylum applications by Syrians. This reports the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Today (pdf).

In the first half of this year, nearly three thousand Syrian asylum seekers registered in a municipality. In the same period last year there were 600 of this group leave hardly any people.

Netherlands allows 250 refugees from Syria increased. The opposition takes a critical and points to other European countries, which allow more refugees.
