There is always a good reason for a doggy bag. Under this motto, the doggy bag should be a typically Dutch phenomenon. The doggy bag blends in with the Dutch culture. 78% of the Dutch hates food waste and 68% was brought up with the rule that you should always eat empty your plate. For restaurants that offer a doggy bag, there is a world to win, according to the study. 62% of the guests like to take food to take home if one is offered. 16% even like to pay anything extra when people catch the food as a meal for the next day. 30% of people will rather go to a restaurant that does something against food waste.
