Mindert Mulder, one of the directors of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), get on. Mulder worked from late 2008 Cure director. The departure stems from changes within the monitoring organization, after a critical research report and remarks by Minister Edith Schippers.

The NZa was recently heavily criticized, including by the suicide of whistleblower Arthur Gotlieb, a thick dossier left with things that are not all well go to the NZa. Minister Edith Schippers wants to restore the authority of the supervisor and promised stricter rules and guidelines, and a clearer division of labor between NZa and the ministry.

Mulder led the work of the NZa at the innovations in curative care. NZa late Friday know currently working on “improvements following the tragic death of Arthur Gotlieb and the subsequent report of the committee-Borstlap to the internal functioning of the NZa.” The committee does not attribute the deficiencies identified to a person or a few people, but notes include that “improvements are needed for a better balance between product and people-oriented management.
