Haaksbergen followed guideline for monster truck race is not – Volkskrant

The fatal stunt with the monster in downtown Haaksbergen are the international guidelines are not followed. The so-called Monster Truck Racing Association (MTRA) prescribes that no audience can stand. In the direction of the truck

On images of the drama in Haaksbergen is to see that the audience was all around the square. A truck drove yesterday at the audience. Three people killed, and at least five people were seriously injured. Eighteen people were lighter injuries.

After many questions, the municipality has distributed the permit for the event. It states among other things that the public at least 10 feet away had to stand. “To this end, proper provision is made (fences)” writes the municipality. Photographs from the incident, the fences can be seen, but the distance from public to monster is not clear.
