A father and son have 15 and 8 years in jail for manslaughter in the 54-year-old Cor Verolme from Emmeloord. The son has also been imposed on TBS. Earlier the court in Lelystad still found that there was premeditation and were two to 14 years and 10 years with TBS convicted of murder. The court in Leeuwarden there now thinks otherwise.
The crime was committed on Verolme in December 2014, the Noorderkroon in Emmeloord. Father and son got into an argument with the victim, and they beat him with a hammer and broke his neck. Then the house was set on fire.
It is still unclear where the argument between the men was about.
