More than 900,000 people have been out the door this weekend to visit in the Netherlands. Monument That made the organization of the Open Monument known. The number of visitors of the 28th edition is thus slightly higher than a year earlier.
300 municipalities were about 6000 people visit monuments. In order to attract more men this year was chosen the theme “Travel, historical infrastructure and mobile heritage.”
In Amsterdam, the tram depot De Hallen 7300 visitors. On the tram depot Princenhage in Breda 6000 people came. Radio also Kootwijk, near Apeldoorn, was popular with 3,000 guests.
With 38,000 visitors was the Amsterdam municipality busiest. Then, The Hague (32,000), Dordrecht (31,000), Rotterdam (24,000) followed, and Bergen op Zoom (22,000).
Heritage Day was Friday officially opened by Minister Schultz van Haegen of Infrastructure and Environment.
