Aggressive man (49) puts knife to throat train conductor in Tilburg after … – BBC News

  Tilburg – Another employee of the Dutch Railways
 threatened. A 46-year-old conductor was Monday afternoon during a train ride
 Oisterwijk attacked to Tilburg by a 49-year-old man with a knife.
 That happened when he was the traveler, probably a German, asked for his ticket.

 

The suspect thereby put the knife to the throat of the railway employee. Runners were warned on the platform by the operator who told that the suspect was in the rear compartment.

The cops saw the aggressive man got out, after which he was arrested. In the left pocket of his coat a knife was found. The guard was not hurt.

It is not yet clear where the man came from. Being investigated by the police. He had in any case a German driving license.

Police stressed that verbal or physical violence against police officers, social workers and government employees is taken very seriously. With Justice agreed that the sentencing is always increased in violence against police officers and other persons with public duties.

For many employees of the railways is the last straw after all the violence. A small group NS’ers held a protest last month in Hoofddorp. The union wants the arsenal of railway guards will be extended with a baton and pepper spray.
