Police is fighting against Taliban despite agreements with The Hague

Afghan officers trained by Dutch, fight against the Taliban in Kunduz, despite agreements with The Hague that they would only perform police duties. This was reported Nieuwsuur tonight from Kunduz province and showed images of fighting agents.

In an interview, confirmed the police spokesman in Kunduz that agents fight alongside the army against insurgents ,, ”.

The Taliban last month launched an offensive in the Kunduz province and march on the capital city.

When deciding on the police training mission in 2010/2011 was difficult at the Courtyard, Netherlands urged the Afghan government to make a commitment that by Dutch trained agents should not be used for military combat. That way was the support for the mission in the Lower House be increased.
