In the House of Representatives, he is representative for some of the northeastern city Gwoza. According to the politician, approximately 10,000 people fled from the city. “I’ve heard reports that the palace of the emir and the headquarters of the police are occupied by the attackers,” said Gumtha. “Dozens of other buildings have been destroyed.”
Boko Haram was founded in 2002 and has, since 2009, an armed struggle for an Islamic state in the north and east of Nigeria. For the past six years alone, the group probably killed more than 2,000 people. The terrorist group has in recent months also committed acts of violence in Cameroon
