All toddlers can now for childcare – NU.nl

The children who are not going and whose parents do not receive child allowance, be offered a place which is paid by the municipality. It involves two sessions per week on average.

Until now, there was not all toddlers a place or the parents had to pay for this yourself. Municipalities get sixty million for the toddlers who are not going twice a week to provide care.

Minister Lodewijk Asscher of Social Affairs and Employment and the Association of Dutch Municipalities are agreed on this.

“Every toddler deserves a place to be collected, including toddlers that do not work one or both parents. good child care gives children a good start in the society. Every child has a right to,” says Asscher.

the Minister announced to pull out last September in extra money to ensure that all young children can go to the shelter. In July, the municipalities received the first 10 million. The next five years following the rest.

An estimated 15 percent of the toddlers is not now in a pre-school. These are mainly children whose one or both parents do not work, but it can also involve parents who can not get a place.
