Hennis Loenen: ‘Freedom needs constant attention “- The Stentor

LOENEN – ,, Freedom needs our constant attention. ” That said Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert Monday during the commemoration at the National Field of Honour in Loenen. She was referring to the many names and their stories of war victims.

The minister cited the story of Anda Kerkhoven, but also from her own grandmother who died in Ravensbruck. “The story of my great-grandmother, motivates me every day to stand up for our freedom,” she said.
