Firefighters rescue five people from burning house – AD.nl

Firefighters have just before midnight, five people from a burning house met in the Hague. Four of them were there for observation to be taken to hospital because they had inhaled a lot of smoke, the fire department has said.



The fire broke unknown cause on the second floor of an old building containing several apartments, Regentesselaan. The two people who stayed there could not leave. “One of the people had locked themselves in a room to get inside minimize smoke, stood on the balcony and the other was also included.

Also, people removed from the property on other floors. They had, according to the fire department not aware of what had happened. The affected residents are helped to find alternative sleeping place to spend the night.

Residents of neighboring homes were quickly out, but ultimately not about the fire hit. Around 0:45 pm the signal ‘fire master “was given. Firefighters were unable to prevent the second floor where the fire started, was lost. The rest of the building suffered smoke and soot damage.
