Victims get unlimited right to speak in court – Yahoo! News

Victims of serious crimes will be allowed to say in court what they want, such as what punishment would a suspect be get it.

In a bill of Secretary for Justice Fred Teeven is speaking now virtually unlimited. Allowed victims to date only tell you what the crime means to them personally.

The proposal does justice according to current practice. It judges often are far more than officially allows the current to speak saying victims

If the victim on the seat a substantiated in the future with facts, makes incriminating statement, the suspect may go against that victim and ask questions about it. The victim is sworn as a witness in such a case. But if a victim leaves the personal consequences of the crime, not have to.

Initially Teeven wanted to supplement the existing right to speak with a so-called advisory. The victim could give an opinion to the court such as the amount of punishment. But it turned out to are too many snags.
