Advice: incremental growth for Eindhoven Airport – nrc.nl

Eindhoven Airport may grow. Advising former minister Hans Alders, after consultation with stakeholders, reports news agency ANP

This year there are almost 29,000 so-called “movements.” – A start or landing of an aircraft is considered a movement. In 2020 there were 43,000 aircraft movements may occur. 3,500 flights per year shall come. There will also be more room for growth in the evenings and on weekends.



Passenger past five years more than doubled

Secretary of State Mansveld (Aviation, PvdA) and Hennis (Defence, VVD ) had last year decided that Eindhoven Airport could grow incrementally. In the first phase, until the end of this year, Eindhoven increased from 19,000 to 29,000 aircraft movements.
