Paul Jansen unanimously elected new chief Telegraph – Yahoo! News

It’s official political commentator Paul Jansen is 1 September editor of De Telegraaf. Jansen succeeds Sjuul Paradise, who had left in May.

The management and editorial board unanimously selected for the 47-year-old Jansen, the newspaper writes today. “Smith is a keen analyst who puts his finger unerringly on the sore spot and given the task of De Telegraaf to usher in a new era.”

Jansen began in 1996 when De Telegraaf on the foreign desk. He subsequently worked at De Financiële Telegraaf, as a correspondent in Indonesia and eventually to the editorial policy.

His name was already longer around to follow Paradise. “With this ‘Telegraaf dna’ of the new editor’s not worry about that,” said De Telegraaf.
