Trading in illegal fireworks are much harder punished – NH News

NOORD-HOLLAND Were illegal traders in fireworks previously arranged a community service, now turning them often for months or even years in the cell.

In 2009 and 2010 were almost all convicted dealers have a conditional imprisonment of four months on average or community service; in 2014 and 2015 received more than half a direct, unconditional prison sentence of an average of a year. Community service are rare.

The Public Prosecutor’s office confirms the development. “People need to understand that illegal fireworks are not a vice, but criminal behavior with great dangers,” says public prosecutor Renske Mackor of the Functional public prosecutor.
