In the city district Osdorp tonight a man shot dead in the street. That has a police spokeswoman confirmed in Amsterdam. Of the perpetrator no trace. The spokeswoman would not say whether it would be a liquidation

When rescuers arrived at the scene of the shooting, was victim seriously injured. He died on the spot. The identity of the victim has not been determined with certainty. Police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

Eyewitnesses speak of one or two bursts automatic fire. “It was a low, dull sound, in quick succession.” Another local resident saw the gunfire. “It took at least five seconds.
