Agreements on the “Chicken of Tomorrow”, one degree more animal-friendly than traditional plofkip, are illegal. That would stand in a draft report of the Police Authority Competition and Consumer Market (ACM) where journal Ranch hand laid on. Reported the newspaper.
According to the ACM, the report is not final. But according to The Farm, the agreements qualify as a violation of competition law.
In early 2013 made supermarkets, farmers’ organizations and slaughterhouses agreed to introduce a “new” chicken which should put an end to the maligned plofkip. Supermarkets, united in the Food Retail (CBL), farmer organizations as LTO Netherlands and organizations of the meat industry put their signature under the “Chicken of Tomorrow. That would be slightly more space than get plofkip, slightly longer life and get a little more sleep
