Alphen aan den Rijn – A 38 year old man from Alphen aan den Rijn has to seven years in jail, because he shot someone in July in the parking lot of the Herenhof in his hometown. The court in The Hague sentenced him Thursday. The Public Prosecutor had demanded nine years.
The victim was a 46-year-old man, who also came from Alphen aan den Rijn. He would have gossiped about the suspect, who had problems with drugs.
The two men made an appointment to talk about and then got into a
fight. The victim of a short distance has fallen into the heart and lungs. The suspect says he acted in self-defense, but the court is disagreed. 
The shooting happened at the end of the afternoon “in a shopping center where many shoppers were present,” said the court.
