Secretary Fred Teeven (Security and Justice) showed in WNL on Sunday that the government in 2014 over 10 million has been seized from criminals.
Sind January 2014 is regulated by law that seizure by perpetrators can be in favor of victims. And here the prosecution proves quite used to have made.
The amount of 10 million has been established by allowing seizure in 130 lawsuits on funds and assets of criminals. This money is put aside and can be used to compensate the victims of these criminals. But before that, the accused must be effectively condemned and there should no
longer be possible appeal against conviction. Only then will release the money to be paid to the victims. 
It is currently not clear whether and how many of these 10 million that was seized actually the victims will go.
