Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Abou Taleb takes on his fellow Hague Jozias van Aartsen. Who is under fire because he lacks occurred when a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Critics “It’s cheap and easy to pass on the mayors off a major social problem,” said Abou Taleb today in The New York Times .

The Labour mayor calls his VVD colleague in the newspaper “misunderstood”. “It is unacceptable as a public demonstration bans based on an opinion,” said Abou Taleb in the newspaper. In retrospect, the public prosecutor must assess whether crimes have been committed, he says. “At that point, Josias van Aartsen misunderstood.”

Abou Taleb points out that the police do not always see or hear anything during major demonstrations:

” If there are ten thousand people demonstrating there is always an idiot with a different agenda. I can not put on ten thousand policemen. How fair is it that I afterwards accused would get that I’m a coward, like my colleagues in The Hague has happened? We can not hold one to one supervision. “

The demonstration in The Hague last week’s anti-Semitic slogans were shouted, as it appeared after studying pictures. However, during the demonstration, no offenses were detected by the police. Earlier this week, a petition requesting the resignation of Van Aartsen is demanded to the government and became the Lower House. More than seventeen thousand people have put their signatures below.
