REUVER (Reuters) – Police on Tuesday morning after a tip more than 18,000 marijuana plants found in the outskirts of the village of Limburg Reuver.
The street value of the plants is around 20 million euros, according to a police spokesman, who spoke of an exceptional find.
Hemp plantation stands in a pice of 75 by 75 meters at the Saint Willibrord Dijk, close to the German border. In the forest a few basins were constructed for water supply. Police and a specialized company with brushcutters the plantation to clean it.
The police talk to farmers in the vicinity of the site. Nobody has ever been arrested.
