Six men have been condemned by the Amsterdam court to four years in prison for embezzling about 45 million euro at ABN Amro and Rabobank. The men did this through the purchase and sale of options, writes the Amsterdam city channel AT5 afternoon.
The two banks intervened quickly and took 42 million quickly. A total of three million be diverted. The prosecution also accused the six of extortion, but according to the court this was insufficient evidence. The court has not yet decided whether it will appeal.
