618 houses Velsen-Noord have gas again – AD.nl

In Velsen people can use on 618 adresses gas. That left a spokesman network administrator Liander know tonight.

Thursday were hit a water pipe and a gas pipe during drilling. The water then ran gas lines and spread in those pipes. After a new census shows that more than 1,100 homes and buildings, including a primary school, since Thursday were without gas. The school is reconnected.

Technicians are working to connect the victims back to the gas. Before kilometers pipeline must be cleaned. Meanwhile, five of the six kilometer clean again. Liander said Thursday that the job needs to be done and that everybody has gas.

Overload
In another part of Velsen morning the power went out, but this fault is independent of the gas problem, said a spokesman. Liander had previously asked residents to be cautious with the use of electrical appliances. Electric heaters causing network congestion.
