Minister Lilianne Ploumen Development supports a project of the Dutch aid agencies to combat Ebola. It employs nearly 10 million available there. Netherlands already contributed 38 million to fight Ebola.
Ploumen yesterday visited Freetown, capital of Sierra Leone. This country is, along with the neighboring Liberia and Guinea, the hardest hit by the Ebola crisis. Which now has well over 8200 people took the lives.
The joint proposal from the Dutch aid organizations includes the training of local health workers for safe burials, distribution of hygiene kits and information campaigns on radio and television.
