Dozens of people have their homes late last night must leave by a fire in the district Geuzenveld. The fire raged in an attic at the Ruys de Beerenbrouckstraat and has since been extinguished, said a spokesman for the fire department.
The fire has caused a big mess. Some homes are uninhabitable by soot damage. For residents is wanted replacement housing, according to the fire department.
Nothing is known yet about the cause of the fire. The fire raged in the attic of a porch and hit later on to an adjacent attic. The emergency services evacuated as a precaution about twelve houses.
“The people who came out, a few dozen people are caught in a nearby care center,” the spokesman said. No one was injured.
