THE HAGUE (Reuters) – Cornelis Pieter van den Hoek (93), bearer of the Military Order of William, Thursday deceased. That the Chancellery of Dutch Orden Saturday confirmed after a notice of the Reformed Daily.
Van den Hoek received the award for acts of resistance in World War II. He smuggled people, messages, goods and medicines through the Biesbosch. He was a member of the resistance ,, The Partisans of the Biesbosch ”.
Queen Wilhelmina Van den Hoek hit on August 30, 1948 to support the Military Order of William.
