THE HAGUE – Dutch on the Sziget Festival in Hungary in trouble, can knock this year at the consular fulcrum that is arranged on the festival grounds. Netherlands mans that abutment along with other EU countries, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Friday.
Sziget, held on an island in the Danube in Budapest, is one of the largest music festivals in Europe. It attracts nearly 400,000 people, including 16,000 Dutch.
The next edition is from 11 to 18th August. The program features include Queens of the Stone Age, Placebo, Stromae, Manic Street Preachers, Madness, Korn, Lily Allen, Outkast, The Prodigy and Trigger Finger. Furthermore, there are performances by Dutch artists such as Laidback Luke, Stef Classens, Fedde Le Grand and the Amsterdam Klezmer Band.
During the Sziget Festival last year, provided employees of the Dutch Embassy in Budapest 70 replacement documents. The annual average is one document per week.
