The government wants a firmer approach to forced marriages, honor-related violence and homophobia. Before that it will until 2017 stabbing three million in activities to combat these problems.

Asscher stressed that people should know who they marry, fall on men or women or want to separate from their partner. “Culture, religion and tradition should never be an excuse to curtail essential freedoms,” said the minister.
