White heroin appears Asian – Noordhollands Dagblad

White heroin sold by street dealers and cocaine in Amsterdam, comes from Southeast Asia.

Reported Dutch Forensic Institute (NFI) Thursday based on research into the white heroin. So far seventeen tourists become victims of this hard drug. Three tourists have not survived.

The NFI has looked at the composition of the drugs. The substances in the white heroin sold in the capital are characteristic of the production in Southeast Asia, explains a spokesperson from the NFI to Reuters News.

White heroin is dangerous because it is very pure. The drugs are less cut and fit only to inject or snort. Also, the drugs because of the color can be mistaken for cocaine. The normal amount of white heroin users is lower than cocaine.

White heroin is generally much more expensive than cocaine, but is offered by Amsterdam street dealers at a lower price. By confusing users run the risk of overdose. They then get breathing problems, sometimes fatal.

Smart Shops in Amsterdam sales since a few weeks of tests that indicate whether the drugs are purchased by white heroin or cocaine. The municipality of Amsterdam warns tourists using matrix boards.

The NFI is still investigating whether the drug comes from a party or it’s going to multiple parties.
