Henk Krol a substantial part of a grant of 2 tons of the Ministry of Education spent on propping up the ailing Gaykrant which Krol was editor . That director Peter Derksen of the Friends of the Gay Krant said today.
Krol himself today denied during a civil trial at the court in Den Bosch to have abuse of the money. There is also no “shred of evidence” of it, he sent word through his lawyer Peter Schouten. It has become clear that the subsidy was the foundation, was transferred to Krol’s publisher, who Gaykrant issued.

The Friends of Gay Krant must repay 200,000 euros to the Ministry of Education. The foundation does not have the money and want to see it Krol. The Ministry would, according to Krol, know that the subsidy went to the foundation and that the implementation of the Internet project for gay youth was conducted by the Gay Krant. It was also clear today that money between the foundation and the publisher went back and forth without receipts were drawn from there.
The Ministry wants the money back, because the audit was withdrawn. According to lawyer Oscar Hammerstein of the foundation that was because there was no clear records. The board of the foundation can not pay the 200,000 euros. The bowl is empty and Derksen and his colleagues argued in court that Krol is liable for the bad administration. Also, it is therefor according to Schouten no proof. Hammerstein had seizure in October on two houses of Krol. The judge does in principle about six weeks.
