VSNU: Students again quickly with bachelor – nrc.nl

The percentage of students who earned a bachelor’s degree last year’s 66 percent. This is again an increase compared to 2013 (64 percent), and is even much higher than five years ago, when only 53 percent of students took the paper in four years. That Universities Association VSNU writes today in a report.

For years, universities do their best to persuade students not to unnecessarily about their studies. So students can not start a master’s program for they have their bachelor’s diploma. According VSNU is this so-called “hard cut” the main reason that people complete their studies faster. But also the fact that more students to get to the binding study plays a role. They also have fewer resits in many cases

“The increase in the number of students who graduate after four years get fit in the trend of the increasing pace of study among students. The measures taken by universities to increase the pace of study prove effective and rightly so. “
