Survivors Srebrenica drag Karremans for European court – Yahoo! News

The families of some victims of the fall of Srebrenica in 1995, go to the European Court of Human Rights Man. That says their lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld.

The relatives do not agree with the decision of the court in Arnhem. The court determined that Thom Karremans, former commander of the Dutch UN peacekeepers in Srebrenica (Dutchbat) and his then secondanten not to be prosecuted

Karremans led Dutchbat during the fall of Srebrenica. When thousands of Muslim men were killed by Bosnian Serbs. Dutchbat was in Bosnia to protect the local population.

Relatives of three victims find it Karremans complicit in murder, war crimes and genocide. They harnessed therefore a procedure at the court on. They wanted the court still command would give the prosecution to Karremans, his former right-hand aide Rob Franken and Berend Oosterveens brought to justice in the Netherlands.
