Shortly after the conclusion of the agreement on the reception of illegal immigrants, gave Prime Minister Mark Rutte (VVD) and Deputy Prime Lodewijk Asscher (PvdA) an explanation. The solution that found the two sides to the issue is a hard-won compromise, Asscher said.

Rutte spoke in turn of a very complicated issue, which were the negotiations’ exciting at times. ” The system is changed for the reception of illegal immigrants, that much is clear.

But what does it really mean in the agreement that the VVD and PvdA have closed together? From the words of those directly involved (Rutte, Asscher Halbe Zijlstra, Diederik Samson) and a letter sent to the House, it appears as follows:

* According VVD party leader Halbe Zijlstra go the so-called ‘ bed, bath and brood’- Facilities close . “There remains no care about who I want to close, because they all close,” he says. Labour leader Diederik Samson says something else: “For now, municipalities have nowhere to stop it. We are awaiting a ruling by the Council of State. ‘ Mayors may according to Samson always say: ‘In my sleep one under the bridge, which gets emergency. ” The government is still awaiting a ruling by the State Council in a case about the illegal capture, which is on 11 May. Until judgment comes, municipalities will still get money from the government for the emergency they offer now.

* There will care for illegal immigrants in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven, the five largest cities in the Netherlands . There are people prepared that they should return soon. The government calls this d e for phase .

This phase is new and lasts a few weeks. Until now, there was no containment facility more like people indicated that they would not cooperate in their departure. However, it was viewed in that case if they could be forcibly and therefore temporarily could be taken into custody. For people who want to work indeed on their return, existed care, including in the Restraints Location (VBL) in Ter Apel.

* If in the five central reception locations willingness to return has been confirmed, will the failed asylum seeker yet to VBL .

* If it turns out that an alien is his fault really can not go back, it can get a status. That is already being done. If the stranger really refuses, he or she will still put from the reception . That does not apply to families with children. For them a special facility.

* The dozens of cities now even offer emergency shelter to illegal immigrants as failed asylum seekers, who must close. Stakeholders should they refer to the five locations or Ter Apel. The government wants to municipalities that do not adhere to this, cut back on their budget for inclusion.

* The adjustments in the VBL and the phase structural cost 15 million . In addition, a total of 15 million euro for return projects.

* The government continues to invest in The reception in the region and projects in countries that participate in the return of their nationals .
