the short but fierce fire raged Sunday between 17.00 and 18.00 in two apartments in the nursing home for the elderly, on the second floor. in total, 27 homes have become uninhabitable. the 29 residents are accommodated provisionally elsewhere, reports the Safety, as far as possible in other locations of the same organization.
An eyewitness wrote on Twitter that was resuscitated one person on the roof “Sequence did not look good.”
All residents were evacuated and temporarily accommodated at the restaurant of the nursing home. Some of them can Sunday back home.
To combat the fire and the evacuation were deployed sixty firefighters.
The care center Zorggroep Ter Weel in Krabbendijke consists of a nursing home and a nursing home for elderly people with physical and psychological problems.
