Noorderzon 800 volunteers were also active this year. The festival could count on the necessary financial contributions from among others the Performing Arts Fund. The next three years will Noorderzon money from that fund.
The festival has already won several awards such as the Wessel Gansfort Price / Groninger Cultural Award, the Honorary Medal of the City of Groningen and European EFFE Award for trendsetting European festivals .
The 27th edition of Noorderzon takes place from Thursday 17 to Sunday, August 27, 2017.
