Europe’s first Ferris wheel opened above sea at Scheveningen – Focus on News

The forty-meter-high Ferris wheel has 36 gondolas closed with air-conditioning including one vIP gondola is equipped with a glass bottom. All gondolas feature luxury seats and all offer space for up to six people.

From the Ferris visitors have a panoramic view of the sea, beach and the skyline of The Hague. A ride on the Ferris wheel takes approximately 20 minutes. Lunch, dinner or afternoon tea at high altitude above sea soon also among the possibilities.

Free admission Pier

The Pier is open again since July 18, 2015 to the public after Kondor Wessels Vastgoed (Volker Wessels) and DanZep it bought in October 2014. The new pier has become a true food boulevard, with a contemporary and high-quality range of street food, restaurants, bars, terraces and shops.

On The Pier are also year-round festivals, cultural events, Pier Markets, kids afternoons, educational activities and musical performances. The Pier is open all year and daily open from 10:00. Access to the pier is free.
