The 49-year-old man who sat at Oosterbeek Vinkeveenseplassen his speedboat collided with a barge, had drunk too much. Writes the NIS. At the accident two people were killed.
Since such information would constitute evidence of manslaughter, for longer stays, the man is in custody.
The accident happened Saturday. The speedboat collided with a boat with four men, who all pitched overboard. Two of them managed to save themselves. After the collision enter the speedboat. Police found the boat the next morning, and arrested five people. Four of them have been released.
This week the OM suspected the man all of manslaughter, but the magistrate saw Wednesday insufficient evidence. A request from the prosecution to the man to hold longer was rejected. The prosecution then appealed against that decision before
