The farm in Zwaag of the notorious underworld criminal Nico V. last night burned. Police are investigating the rumor that firebombs were thrown

From the farm in the main street in Zwaag this morning was not much left . Nico V. (50) and his two girlfriends and children were not present when the fire broke out around seven o’clock last night.

That arson should be considered as an attack on Nico V., as alleged, is not obvious. He himself was rarely in the farmhouse, which was for sale. An assassination attempt by throwing firebombs on a roof is unlikely. A reward for a fight or a debt seems logical.

Q. has for decades known in the underworld. He was regarded as someone who committed violence for both the now liquidated criminals Sam Klepper (2000) and John Mieremet (2005).

Q. was a prison sentence of twelve years after he had shot a visitor to a bar in his hometown of Hoorn on Queen 2002 a trifle.
