Municipalities are concerned about youth – AD.nl

Municipalities are very worried about the child care, which from 1 January – next week so – their responsibility. Yahoo! News conducted a survey among more than four hundred Dutch municipalities. Of the hundreds who responded gives expect nearly 90 percent of problems.



Almost half of the municipalities concerned that there is not enough money to have one in ten say enough staff or knowledge.

The 21 municipalities in the Eindhoven region showed last week already know next year estimated at nearly 15 million shortfall for the coming youth. The Eindhoven alderman Jannie Visscher behalf of the municipalities a letter to Secretary of State Martin van Rijn (Health) written about.

Vulnerable young people

From one January 2015 the municipalities are responsible for the implementation of the youth – now partly a function of the provinces. This transfer would have put an end to the bureaucracy and working at cross of aid workers, a practice which both clients and employees in recent years complained a lot.

The municipalities must therefore provide better aid, but with 15 percent less budget. There have long been doubts providers or municipalities can handle responsibility for vulnerable youth. Those kids camps example with psychological problems and / or addictions, whether they are mistreated.
