Green Left MP Linda Voortman is not prosecuted for leaking names of candidates for the post of National Ombudsman. She is wrongly considered a suspect, according to a survey by the National Police. That the Public Prosecution Service announced today. There are no other suspects, the investigation revealed

Guido van Woerkom late May was nominated as National Ombudsman. After several weeks of commotion for various reasons he declined the position. The NOS then brought the names of two other candidates who had applied for the post.
Green Left leader Bram van Ojik Voortman suspended a month because they had confidential information against the rules shared with her group. However, they denied having passed on the names to the press.
The State Investigation Department was commissioned by the House who had leaked. This research has not been established who the anonymous e-mail sent to the media. It is certain that Voortman from the documents that they had access not know may have had one of the names that were in the email.
