An 20 year old man from Zaltbommel was arrested on the night of Monday to Tuesday because he Veen (Noord-Brabant) possible wild stabbing a car on fire.
The police arrived the man on the track when they saw driving a car without license plates. It turned into a pursuit. At the junction of the Wielstraat and Tuinstraat he left the car and tried to flee on foot. The police managed to catch him eventually. In the car were tires and jerry cans with gasoline. The police do not rule out that the man wanted stabbing the car on fire.
Veen every year around the turn end-fired. On New Year’s Eve last year, things got out of hand when people turned against the police after a car went up in flames. Hundred rioters were arrested.
