IJsselstein his Saturday night nine people detained after they clashed were hit by the police.
A group of about thirty men was in IJsselstein for a birthday party and then went center. There they were in conflict with five other walkers. It ended with a whimper, but moments later the group birthday makers met on Front Street. According to the police spokesman said they were obviously there from problems, so the police ordered them to leave the center.
That they refused. They even tried to reach the center towards Overtoom, but were thereby stopped by the police with batons and the threat of police dogs. The agents from IJsselstein thereby got help from colleagues from Woerden. At the time that objects were thrown at officers, seized the police and kept the nine suspects. These were men from Houten, Nijmegen, Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Amersfoort Overloon, aged 19 to 24 years.
