VEGHEL – The Veghel supermarket chain Jumbo is in the grip of a bomdreiger. That supposedly lives in Groningen, close to the spot where he laid explosives. Police have given the staff of all 579 Jumbo branches in the Netherlands instructions. All sites are protected in Groningen and Zwolle. Meanwhile, there are over a hundred tips in the bomdreiger.
Jumbo offices in Groningen and Zwolle were startled in May and July by bomb scares. In Zwolle, the police found a congratulatory card, which the perpetrator had written to Jumbo. The map was an explosive. For the police, the matter did not ring alarm bells.
Leakage for bitcoins
The perpetrator attempts to extort Jumbo and demanded an unlimited amount of bitcoins. That is a virtual currency that is particularly popular among computer experts who anonymously to use and sell. Therefore believes the police that the perpetrator not only has knowledge of explosives, but also of computer systems and electronic devices.
In a dossier released police reports that the bomdreiger probably a man between twenty and forty years old. He must have an accurate way of working. Investigators suspect that the man just bent on extortion and thus does not seek mischief or committing an attack.
The police calls on citizens to express ideas for the resolution of the case in order to determine the identity of the perpetrator. That as yet led to more than a hundred tips.
