The Immigration and Naturalisation Service IND is enough hands to welcome all applications from Family members of refugees in the Netherlands in the right direction. Therefore put the service hundred additional employees who are involved in this, in addition to the hundreds who last year had already joined.

That made chief executive Rob Ribbon IND today in The Hague. At present, about seven hundred nareisaanvragen done weekly. This applies in particular to women and children mainly from Syria, Somalia and Eritrea. They can submit their application to the Dutch embassies from countries or flight regions where asylum seekers come from.

Data subjects may, within three months after his father or mother has received a residence permit here to submit such a request, but the data should be checked first. Given the situation in Syria or in the refugee camps, the IND had expected much nareisverzoeken.

Asylum applications
the surge there are now 12,000 cases awaiting treatment . Ribbon expected that in 2015 about 7,000 family members may intervene effectively with their family in the Netherlands.

Last year, more than 30,000 asylum applications submitted in the Netherlands, of which nearly 22,000 first applications. The rest were extensions and nareizigers. That is more than double the number in 2013. The peak has everything to do with the war situation in Syria and a high influx of people from Eritrea in the spring.
The number of requests that were granted, rose sharply from 47 to 67 percent.
