Until Thursday, no trains between Deventer and Apeldoorn – The Stentor

Teuge – between Apeldoorn and Deventer drive probably until Thursday morning no trains. Says Head of the Department incident combat ProRail. The havoc on the track at Teuge is huge.

On Sunday morning at half past nine bumped the slow train from Apeldoorn on a car. This happened at the crossing in the Stationsstraat at Teuge. The driver of the car was killed in this life. He committed suicide. The passengers on the train were not injured.

The train derailed, while overhead and track over a distance of three hundred meters was destroyed. ProRail hopes to tow the damaged train during Sunday night away. The wreck was salvaged at the end of the afternoon.

The repairs require then for days. There are now dozens of track employees attendance. According to Wouter Traas, the present Duty Officer on behalf of ProRail, the rail traffic between Deventer and Apeldoorn can be resumed at the earliest Thursday. Travelers should detour in the meantime via Arnhem or Zwolle. Between Deventer and Apeldoorn ride (stop) buses. The extra travel time can be up to an hour.
